Learn the simple basics of fermentation and how to incorporate these healthy foods and beverages into your life. Jillian Ross, "The Ferment Lady" will present a general overview of what fermented foods are, and why they play such an important role in our every day lives. She'll have various fermented items to sample. You will come away with an understanding of the importance of traditional food preservation, as well as just how crucial bacteria are to our lives and what amazing things they can do, coexisting among us.

Based on interest, a series of workshops is planned, covering a variety of topics including sauerkraut, kombucha, and pickled vegetables.
